United States Artists seeks three Interns for 2018-19 academic year based in Chicago, IL for 10-12 hours per week.
United States Artists (USA) is currently seeking three interns to work with our Programs,
Communications, and Development staff over the 2018-19 academic year. These part-time
positions are paid and will report directly to our CEO, Directors, and Managers. In addition to
their administrative duties, interns will work together to publish USA’s first issue of Anthology, a
soon-to-be annual publication produced entirely by our intern staff. Anthology will use each
class of USA Fellows as a springboard to explore different cultural topics related to the
mission and efforts of the organization and will be available in print and online.
USA is a national arts funding nonprofit organization based in Chicago. Each year, USA awards up
to fifty $50,000 fellowships to the country’s most accomplished and innovative artists working in
the fields of Architecture & Design, Craft, Dance, Film, Media, Music, Theater & Performance,
Traditional Arts, Visual Art, and Writing. USA Fellows spotlight the importance of artists across the
country, celebrating the broad diversity of American artistic practices and cultivating a creative
ecology that is diverse in age, race, religion, gender, and sexual orientation.
Since our founding in 2006, USA has supported over 500 artists with nearly $25 million. To learn
