Film/Video Volunteer | Arts of Life

Arts of Life advances the creative community by providing artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities a collective space to expand their practice and strengthen their leadership.

We are seeking a film/video volunteer to produce and edit a film to submit to the Raw Vision Short Film Competition (theme: self-taught artists and outsider art) this year.

Films should be 2-5 minutes long using camera or phone that can be uploaded online.
Competing entries could include:
  • Introducing an artist’s work
  • Art work in a disability/psychiatric setting
  • Artists at outreach workshops and studios
  • Unknown artists in their personal space
  • Exhibitions
  • Documenting an unusual home or interior
  • Showing an important collection
The deadline for a short film submission (2-5 min) is Dec 31


Skills & Qualifications: 


  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
  • Problem solve and work with minimal supervision.
  • Work in a spirit of mutual cooperation.
  • Show initiative, dedication, and creativity.
  • Have a consistently positive and resilient attitude
  • Be able to work with all individuals served by Arts to Life, Inc. studio



  • Must be 18 years of age or over
  • Comfortable working with people with disabilities
  • Must have prior film/video experience
