Elmhurst College invites applications for a professional track assistant professor position in the Department of Art with background in painting, drawing and art history. Main teaching responsibilities include introductory, intermediate, advanced and capstone courses in painting and drawing studios. Scholarly interest in the teaching of art history such as Western and/or Modern art surveys is highly desired. Evidence of outstanding teaching is essential. The teaching load is six courses per year. Candidates should have a commitment to creating inclusive learning environments for a diverse student body. The canidate must hold a Masters of Fine Art in Studio Art, or complete their M.F.A. in Studio Art by September 1, 2019.
