AMI is seeking a String instructor for campuses in Clarendon Hills & Downers Grove. Instructor would be responsible for teaching private lessons and possibly group classes.

  

    

Responsibilities    

 

- Deliver high-quality instruction to students of all ages in private lessons and group classes

- Provide assessment of students’ musical progress

- Be able to teach all String Instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass)

- Collaborate with parents, administrative staff for scheduling, etc   

- Timely correspondence with director, school staff, and parents

- Actively participate in faculty meetings   

 

 

Position Requirements

 

- At least 2 years experience teaching experience

- Ability to communicate instrumental techniques and concepts to students

- Personable, collaborate nature and able to work with students, families, and administration

- High level of personal responsibility and musicianship
